Somboon Panya company values and mission

Who We Are

Education Built on
Patience and Purpose

Somboon Panya was founded on the belief that every adult deserves clear, honest information about their financial life — presented with care, without agenda, and at a pace that allows real understanding to develop.

Our Beginning

A Story Rooted in
Real Conversations

Somboon Panya grew from a simple observation: many adults in Thailand reach their forties with significant responsibilities — families, properties, savings — but without a clear framework for thinking about what comes next. The question of how to prepare for later life rarely has a comfortable or obvious answer.

Our founder spent more than two decades working alongside families in Bangkok as they navigated decisions about retirement, inheritance, and long-term savings. Over time, a pattern became clear: what most people needed was not a product or a portfolio — it was knowledge. The kind that helps you ask better questions and make decisions with greater clarity.

From those early conversations, Somboon Panya took shape as a dedicated educational practice — one with no financial products to sell and no agenda beyond genuine learning. We offer programs that explore the Thai pension system, local market dynamics, estate and succession principles, and the broader landscape of adult financial life.

Today, our programs serve adults throughout Bangkok and the surrounding regions. We remain a small, focused team — and we intend to stay that way, because quality of engagement matters more to us than scale.

What Guides Us

Our Mission & Values

The values below were not written for a website — they were drawn from the conversations we have had with hundreds of participants over the years.

Genuine Care

We take every participant's situation seriously. Their time, questions, and concerns are treated with the same attention we would offer a close family member.

Honest Information

We present facts, options, and considerations — not recommendations designed to push any particular product or path. Participants are always free to draw their own conclusions.

Natural Growth

Financial understanding develops gradually. We create space for questions, reflection, and follow-up — because meaningful learning rarely happens in a single sitting.

Local Relevance

Everything we teach is grounded in Thai financial systems, Thai law, and the realities of life in Bangkok and the surrounding regions — not generic theory.

Accessibility

No prior knowledge is assumed. Programs are structured so that adults at any starting point can engage meaningfully — from complete beginners to those with some existing exposure.

Discretion

Financial matters are personal. We maintain strict participant confidentiality and create environments where people feel comfortable sharing their actual situations without hesitation.

Continuous Professional Development

All educators complete regular continuing education aligned with updates in Thai tax law, financial regulation, and adult learning methodology.

Strict Confidentiality

Participant information — including any personal financial details shared during sessions — is kept strictly confidential and never disclosed to third parties.

Content Accuracy Review

Program content is reviewed at least twice a year to reflect changes in Thai financial regulations, pension rules, and estate legislation.

Participant Feedback Integration

Every program cohort completes an anonymous feedback survey, and results directly shape improvements to session structure, pacing, and materials.

Our Expertise

Financial Education Rooted in Bangkok Life

Adults navigating financial decisions in Thailand face a distinctive landscape. Pension structures differ from those in Western markets. Property inheritance carries specific legal considerations under Thai civil code. Mutual funds and equity products operate within a regulatory framework shaped by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand. Understanding these elements requires educators who work within the system daily — not those who adapt generic content for a local audience.

At Somboon Panya, our programs are developed in close reference to Thai financial law, local market data, and the practical concerns we hear consistently from participants in the Sukhumvit corridor and across greater Bangkok. Retirement projections factor in Social Security Fund structures, provident fund regulations, and RMF/LTF considerations relevant to Thai taxpayers. Estate and succession discussions address Thai inheritance law and the specific procedures involved in asset transfer within Thai families.

Our approach draws on adult learning principles — recognizing that participants in our age group bring life experience, ask different kinds of questions, and often need time and context before new information settles into a usable framework. Sessions are paced accordingly. Educators present information, invite questions, and create time for reflection before moving forward. The result is understanding that participants actually carry with them — not material absorbed under pressure and forgotten by the following week.
